Richard Hattink

Richard Hattink (1982) has been working with children and families in grief and loss situations since 1999. He is the founder of knowledge centre ToThePoint and established BijDeHand, Europe’s first specialised funeral company supporting bereaved families. He developed the funeral toys between 2010 and 2014 in collaboration with a Danish manufacturer — originating from his master’s thesis in pedagogy. He works in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and France, and has been interviewed by CNN, Al Jazeera, Beijing News of China, ZDF and EenVandaag, among others.
